Data in a format that can be conveniently read by a human. Some human-readable formats, such as PDF, are not "machine-readable" as they are not centered around structured data. Structured data, such as a spreadsheet, is easy to interpret for a machine as it has clear column headers which allows machines to understand how different concepts are connected.
